About me

I’m a disabled writer, scholar and documentarist and the founder of the Alternative Toronto digital archive project. As a whole, my work explores the cultures and textures of cities, with a focus on sound, memory and social history.

I’m currently based at the Lakeshore Village Artists’ Co-op in New Toronto and work as Communications Director at the Media Arts Network of Ontario. I also serve on the Board of Directors of the Co-operative Housing Federation of Toronto (CHFT). I hold an MA in Musicology and Ethnomusicology and a PhD in Communication Studies, and have previously taught at McGill University and the University of Toronto Mississauga.
